On the final day of the semester and the final day of season before the NSAA 5-day moratorium, the Millard Schools got together for a triangular that has been named after the former coach for Millard High School, Stan Anderson. In the first dual of the night, the Patriots squared off against a depleted Millard West team. After starting with a forfeit at 220 for Peitzmeier, Chris Wortmann scored in every position and won 14-2. After another forfeit, this time at 106, Griffin Rettele stepped up, filled in, and won a major decision.
Millard West couldn’t fill the 126 pound spot so Conor Knopick earned a forfeit. After that, the two freshmen for the Patriots both recorded pins against their Wildcat foes. Antrell Taylor notched a second-period pin, while Tyler Antoniak was able to get his pin in the first period. At 145, the Wildcats would score their only points of the dual with a first-period pin.
To close out the dual, the Patriots strung together 5 straight wins. Alex Vacha started us off with a pin over (then ranked) Ethan Valencia in the second period. Isaiah Jackson and Krew Tran kept the pin parade continuing each with second-period pins. Isaac Trumble was on the mat for just over 10 seconds when he was able to score the fall for the Patriots! Josh Trumble received a forfeit at 195 pounds, and the Patriots won 74-6.

In the last dual of the night, the Patriots squared off against the Millard North Mustangs. Starting off at 285 pounds, Chris Wortmann started the Patriots off on a seven match win streak with a hard-fought 4-2 decision. Next up, Caleb Coyle cruised to a lot of points and a first period pin. Griffin Rettele made it 2-0 on the day with a 13-1 major decision. Garrett Carbullido wrestled in his first match of the night against a talented Mustang, and Garrett won a close 13-8 decision.
Conor Knopick did not mess around in his match and recorded a quick pin in the first period. Antrell lit up the scoreboard in his final match of the night and earned a 22-7 tech fall over Patton of Millard North. In one of the best matches of the night, freshmen, Tyler Antoniak won 4-2 over a two-time State Qualifier for the Mustangs. After a pin for the Mustangs at 145, Alex Vacha kept his pin streak alive with another second-period pin! After dropping back-to-back loses against the Mustangs, Isaac Trumble got us back on Track with a pin in only 44 seconds. Josh Trumble and Gavin Peitzmeier followed Isaac’s lead with pins of their own, and the Patriots won 54-15.
