All total, the Patriots would only lose 4 contested matches the entire day in routing the competition. To date, the Aurora duals would be the most complete effort of the year. The Patriots would finish with 37 pins on the day, double any other team. Five Patriots would finish with 4 pins.

7 Patriots would finish with Maximum team points.

Coach Denson would comment,

“We knew going in that this tournament wouldn’t be the toughest competition, but overall, we need to get healed up a little after the tough Metro weekend, so these duals would be just what the doctor ordered.”

Coach Meneely would add,

“This is the type of tournament where we don’t have a lot of pressure on us; the guys can cut it loose and have some fun. That’s pretty much just what we did!”

Coach Olson would comment,

“This was a good opportunity for the coaches to work on some things we need to get better at. The guys were receptive and I feel it will equal to some solid growth.”

During the Aurora Dual, Coach Denson would win his 400th career dual competition.

Coach Denson would comment,

“You never go into coaching looking to get any kind of career stat. The 400 wins clearly represent the efforts of coaches, teams and families over the past 35 years of coaching. I consider myself to be truly blessed to have been on this journey! “
