“Wrestling 10 duals in two days make the Nebraska Duals one of the more grueling tournaments we face during the year,” Said head coach, Doug Denson. “This is where we learn the most and find out who we really are. Guys get a lot of mat time, and that mat time pays high dividends later in the year.”

“During the two days, we had to face some adversity,” said assistant head coach, Jay Meneely. “We are going to have to learn to keep our composure when we face things outside of our control. We had a few issues, but nothing we can’t use to help us get better.”

“We wrestle a lot of duals; if we want to win the State Duals at the end of the year, we have to thoroughly embrace the meaning of dual wrestling,” said assistant coach, Nate Olson. “In dual wrestling, you can’t be selfish; you have to think about the team and about the win. We win or lose as a team in dual competition.”
